This video cites a very important Mishneh in Nedarim 90b that is rarely discussed by today’s rabbis.
That Mishneh clearly teaches that women’s unproven demands for divorce are not relied upon to grant the wife a divorce.
There is a valid reason for this ruling of the rabbis – the rabbis are concerned that a wife is demanding a divorce because “she may have cast her eyes on another man”.
Halacha is not unjust to Jewish women, but forcing a decent husband to divorce because his wife met another man is a great injustice which is never even considered by the current “agunah” feminist movement.
That Mishneh is cited as halacha in the Shulchan Aruch, Evan HaEzer 154.
